NCM Associates Company HistoryThe Dealers Analysis Bureau, a group of successful Ford dealer operators, holds the distinction of being the original automotive industry 20 Group. This group was formed in 1945 and the original group moderator was James B. Buckland. Central Services, originally incorporated as a management company for the Fick & Berry chain of automobile dealerships, was employed by the Dealers Analysis Bureau to provide key management information on a monthly basis. In addition, meetings were held periodically to discuss dealer operations and to share best practices. As the businesses of Central Services including the 20 Group concept grew, C. V. Nichols (1947-1970) and Maynard Campbell (1950-1990) joined the firm to improve the level of service to their Clients. As the business continued to grow, Bob Morrow (1965-1989) joined Central Services. In 1966, the corporation of Nichols, Campbell and Morrow was established. In 1988, Maynard Campbell and Bob Morrow, the remaining principals, sold their interest in the company to an Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP) and the corporation of NCM Associates was formed.
